RPG A Day 2017–Day One

If you haven’t run across it in the past, RPGaDay is a thing that was created a few years back to create a series of talking points for RPG fans in the month of August. August is the month that usually hosts Gen Con, which for many is the pinnacle event of the gaming hobby. In order to get everyone on one page and excited about the hobby at the same time, even if they can’t all be at Gen Con, RPGaDay was born.

What Published RPG Do You Wish You Were Playing Right Now?

I really like to see the variety of answers that people provide to this question, so when I’m seeing so many people give the same answer that I am, I’m disappointed that I’m not being more original.

I think this question is interesting, in that I’m sure its answered in multiple ways. Some people are going to think about the games they have played in the past, had a good time with, but don’t get to revisit as often as they would like. Other people are going to think about the games they haven’t had a chance to run at all. I’m sure some people even have one or two go to games that they always want to be playing, regardless of how often they get to do so.

Having just read Blades in the Dark, it’s very intriguing to me. I want to see how it works at the table.

In this case, I like trying new things, and attempting to learn new things. The themes of the game are something that interests me, and the setting is very intriguing to me. My only scheduled regular game (which resumes Thursday) is D&D, and I don’t regret that, but I’d love to slot enough sessions of this into my schedule to get a feel for the game.
